Lai was admitted to practice as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1989, in England in 1993 and in Singapore in 1995.
Lai’s practice covers all areas of intellectual property and she
frequently advises on selection and suitability of trade marks for use
and registration, proper use of trade marks, opposition and
rectification proceedings; drafting and registering trade mark licence
and user agreements and assignment of trade mark rights.
Lai has handled large trade mark portfolios for clients regionally and
internationally, in both private and public sectors and for
multinational companies in various fields and has acted for leading
international companies operating in fashion and luxury goods.
Lai joined the firm in 2002.
Lai also advises on conveyancing matters.
Lai is also additionally qualified as a member of Asian Patent
Attorneys Association and Member of Licensing Executives Society of
China Hong Kong Chapter and also duly appointed as a Civil Celebrant.
