Lai Lam is a partner in the intellectual property department of Stevenson, Wong & Co. She is qualified in England, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Lai has over 10 years experience dealing with the enforcement and protection of intellectual property rights, including registered and unregistered trademarks, copyright, patents, and registered design rights.
Her practice covers all areas of intellectual property, including contentious and non-contentious matters relating to patents, copyrights, designs and trade marks confidential information and passing off/unfair competition.
She frequently advises on selection and suitability of trade marks for use and registration, proper use of trade marks, opposition and rectification proceedings; drafting and registering trade mark licence and user agreements and assignment of trade mark rights.
Over the years of practice, Lai has handled large trade mark portfolios for clients regionally and internationally, in both private and public sectors and for multinational companies in various fields including entertainment, telecommunication, construction, tobacco, food and beverage, and has acted for leading international companies operating in fashion and luxury goods.
Lai also advises on conveyancing matters to include sale and purchase of residential, industrial, commercial buildings, mortgages, guarantees and other connected documentation. Lai also advises on landlord and tenant related matters.
