Osbert was admitted to practice as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2006. He joined the firm in 2007.
Osbert is the head of the firm’s Regulatory & Compliance department. He specializes in handling complex white collar crimes including but not limited to insider dealing, false trading, price rigging, market manipulation and money laundering.
He represents a considerable number of listed companies in Hong Kong and their directors in liaising with regulatory authorities including the Securities and Futures Commission, the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, the Independent Commission against Corruption and the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police. He handles investigations, litigations, interviews, enquiries and even dawn raids by the authorities for his clients.
Apart from regulatory enforcement litigation, Osbert also has extensive experience in a wide array of commercial litigation and international arbitration in relation to matters such as shareholders disputes, company winding-up, cross-border enforcement, high value family trusts and employment disputes.
