On 8 February 2017, our legal executive from our Banking Department, Mr. Man Wong, together with our Ms. Hebe Au, were invited to give a presentation on the new stamp duty measures in a seminar held at the Prince Edward Branch, Bank of China (Hong Kong) (“the Bank”). The seminar was well attended by about 50 banking practitioners, including branch supervisors and frontline managers from five branches of the Bank in Kowloon.
The seminar covered the computation of stamp duty under the new measures and the possible exemptions and exceptions.
