Stevenson, Wong & Co. Attended a 3-Day Economic and Legal Integration Program Between Shandong and Hong Kong

To further strengthen the cooperation and exchanges between Shandong and Hong Kong in the field of economic and trade legal services, Stevenson, Wong & Co. participated in a 3-day economic and legal integration program.

On 11 Dec 2019, our firm’s senior associate Mr. Samson Wong attended an intellectual property law training seminar held at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong. Mr. Wong discussed intellectual property rights in Hong Kong and explored the opportunities under the “One belt, One Road” initiative. Mr. Wong also shared his own experiences of intellectual property in Hong Kong with the delegation of lawyers from Shandong.

The following day, the delegation of Shandong lawyers visited our firm’s office located in the heart of Hong Kong’s business district. Guests included: the deputy director of Shandong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ms. Liu Xiangyu; the senior partner of AllBright’s Qingdao Office, Mr. Zhang Yi; director of Shandong Haocai Law Firm, Mr. Zhou Changpeng and director of Shandong Depository Law Firm, Mr. Huang Gongcun. Our firm’s partner Ms. Catherine Por, representing our firm, welcomed and introduced our firm to the delegation.

On 13 December 2019, our firm’s partner Mr. Rodney Teoh, senior associate Mr. Dominic Lau and associate Mr. Kyle Lo participated in the Shandong-Hong Kong economic and trade law exchange conference and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao promotion law committee exchange conference. At the meetings, lawyers from different regions discussed developments in how to combine their advantages in the Shandong Free Trade Zone. Law firms that participated in establishing the free trade zone from Hong Kong also shared their experiences and suggestions during the meeting.
