(中文) 2018年5月4日，本所合伙人、诉讼及争议排解部门主管徐凯怡律师做客《金律良言》，分享香港跨境诉讼及仲裁的机制与优势，并吸引超过二十万的凤凰台观众通过网上平台观看直播。

徐律师在直播中主要探讨了两大主题，分别是「香港跨境诉讼及仲裁案件类型」及「香港诉讼及仲裁的机制与优势」。在「香港跨境诉讼及仲裁案件类型」的环节中，徐律师首先介绍了香港跨境诉讼与仲裁案件类型的差异，重点讲解了涉及企业联营合作、知识产权、特许经营、国际贸易、能源及金融行业等案件的不同情况。随后，基于对内地与香港经济发展的感受，徐律师总结了不同年代香港与内地商业往来的发展历程。徐律师认为，法律服务的转变与香港的经济、国家的命运紧紧相扣，法律人要关注经济环境，为企业掌控潜在风险，提供高质服务。为了更生动形象地进行讲解，徐律师更是以自己团队亲身处理的「E租宝」案为例，向观众解析了行业经济机会和法律风险。「E租宝」案是当年互联网金融和网上借贷的经典案例，广受银行和金融界的瞩目。徐律师希望通过分享「E租宝」案提醒企业的前中后台加强配合，在防控法律风险方面多多注意，更要在风险浮现的第一时间联系专业律师采取相应的法律措施以维护企业利益。

在「香港诉讼及仲裁的机制及优势」的环节中，徐律师从地理优势、经济优势、政策优势及专业优势等多个方面介绍了香港在国家「一带一路」倡议下承担的「超级联系人」角色以及起到的「跳板作用」。作为多家仲裁机构的认可仲裁员，徐律师亦在直播中根据自己的经验和认知，分享了仲裁以及香港作为国际仲裁中心的优势，并通过自己团队处理的「山水投资」的案例加以剖析，介绍了香港法庭对于仲裁的充分支援。同时，徐律师也分享了国内公司与境外企业商订仲裁协议时需要注意防范的风险。

在直播的尾声，徐律师向观众分享了自己的经历，也向大家介绍了史蒂文生黄律师事务所40年来的历史，让观众得以初步认识本所。徐律师再次感谢《金律良言》的邀请，也非常荣幸能够成为第一位做客《金律良言》的香港律师，在这平台上以轻松、互动的方法向观众阐释有关跨境诉讼及仲裁的议题。

We are delighted to announce that our Partner and Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department Ms. Heidi Chui has been appointed by Shanghai International Arbitration Center (“SHIAC”) to the New Panel of Arbitrators from 1st May 2018 for a term of three years.

SHIAC received 1,470 domestic and foreign applications and registration forms. After a preliminary examination by the Selection and Disciplinary Committee of SHIAC and comprehensive consideration of their professional expertise, the need for case management, professional influence of the candidates, and deliberation at the third session of the Committee, SHIAC finally selected the new Panel of Arbitrators.

Ms. Heidi Chui is an Arbitrator (on the panel list of the Law Society of Hong Kong), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K.) and an Accredited General Mediator with both the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the Law Society of Hong Kong. She is also a member of the Arbitration Committee of The Law Society of Hong Kong and a China Appointed Attesting Officer.

(中文) 2018年4月18至19日，本所合伙人傅景元律师及陈连基律师出席由海牙国际私法会议（HCCH）主办并获香港律政司、香港大学等机构支持的纪念海牙国际私法会议125周年国际研讨会。研讨会主题为「前进道路：在日益紧密联系世界中的挑战和机遇」，共200多人参加，包括海牙国际私法会议秘书长贝纳斯科尼、香港特区终审法院首席法官马道立先生、律政司司长郑若骅女士，以及来自30多个国家的代表和专家等。

会议一连三日在香港大学郑裕彤教学楼举办，邀请了多位学者担任讲解嘉宾。会议由中华人民共和国外交部驻香港特别行政区特派员公署谢锋特派员、香港特区终审法院首席法官马道立先生、海牙国际私法会议秘书长贝纳斯科尼及律政司司长郑若骅女士致辞揭开序幕。

在三天会议里，一众专家探讨了多个议题，包括「廿一世纪的国际私法」、「国际家庭法和儿童保护」、「国际商业和金融法」、「国际法律合作与民事诉讼」、以及「海牙国际私法会议（HCCH）的角色：挑战与机遇」等。

Stevenson, Wong & Co. senior associate Ms. Hazel Wong and associate Mr. Raymond Lam were invited to be one of the mentors for Outreach Legal Talks Initiative. The Outreach Legal Talks Initiative will provide free talks to four NGOs in Hong Kong to be delivered by law students from The University of Hong Kong to the elderly and tenants of sub-divided flats. These talks will cover common legal issues as well as providing practical solutions.

On 18 April 2018, Stevenson, Wong & Co. held a training workshop of Outreach Legal Talks Initiative. Our senior associate Ms. Hazel and associate Mr. Raymond Lam, one of the mentors for Outreach Legal Talks Initiative, explained the legal concepts regarding Wills and Probate and MIP committee works to the law students. Meanwhile, they shared their practical experience to the students.

As mentors, Hazel and Raymond will mentor the law students on preparation of materials for the legal talks and provide practical guidance during the next few months.

On 17 April 2018, Stevenson, Wong & Co. Partner Ms. Sherlynn Chan was invited to attend Heep Hong Society’s 55th Anniversary Charity Dinner 2018 at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong. The theme of the dinner was “Growing Potential Shining Tomorrow”. The charity dinner was well received and drew more than 400 philanthropists and dignitaries, including Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, Chief Secretary for Administration of HKSAR, Mr. Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs of HKSAR, Mr. Caspar Tsui Ying-wai, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Ms. Carol Yip Man-kuen, Director of Social Welfare, Mr. Lau Ming-wai, Vice-Chairman for Youth Development Commission, and Heep Hong Ambassadors Mr. Sunny Chan Kam-hung and Ms. Ada To Man-wai.

At the dinner, children from Heep Hong showcased their talents and impressed the guests with their singing and dancing performances. Parents of children with special needs also shared their parenting experience and challenges. Special guest was renowned songwriter, musical director and singer Mr. Anthony Lun, whose splendid performance of his classic hits elicited rounds of applause from the guests. More than 20 luxury items were sold for charity at the live auction and silent auction. The donations will go to the Children and Youth Training Fund for the benefit of children and youth who are on the waiting list for government-subvented rehabilitation services, giving them the chance to receive professional training to enhance their social communication skills, as well as to participate in social adaptation activities, facilitating their integration into the community.

On 13 April 2018, Stevenson, Wong & Co. Partners Ms. Heidi Chui and Mr. Stephen Wong attended the inauguration of “AllBright Golf Club” and participated in the golf competition at Lake Malaren Golf Club Shanghai. The event attracted more than 30 members and distinguished guests including the president of Shanghai Bar Association Mr. Yu Wei Feng and vice president of Bank of East Asia Mr. Zhang Shao Feng.
